Poroshenko supported the anti-corruption agenda

The President of Ukraine supported the anti-corruption agenda suggested by non-governmental organizations. He stated this during a meeting with public activists on Saturday, April 6. The Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Action Center Daria Kaleniuk was among invited.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced about the need to “relaunch” NACP and SAPO, to deprive SBU and other law enforcement agencies of functions of economic investigations and to create the new service of financial investigations.

“Poroshenko supports the need to restart NACP and SAPO. In the near future, on behalf of the coalition of public organizations, we will send texts of draft laws with our vision of such restart to the President,” stated Daria Kaleniuk.

Poroshenko also stated that he supports the head of NABU Artem Sytnyk “although he has comments regarding the work of the agency”.

At the beginning of the election race these requirements for candidates were represented by more than 20 key public organizations.

The anti-corruption agenda was already supported by Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Yuliya Tymoshenko, Anatoliy Hrytsenko and 4 other candidates except Petro Poroshenko.
