Data Ocean became the technical partner of the AntAC’s project PEP.ORG.UA. How the access to the Public Register of Politically Exposed Persons will be improved

The non-governmental organization the Anti-Corruption Action Center has become the partner of the provider of access to state registries Data Ocean. Thanks to this, users of the AntAC’s project PEP.ORG.UA (the Public Register of Politically Exposed Persons) will receive up-to-date data with comfortable integration into their own corporate systems under the standard Rest API. 

This means simplification of work with data from the Register: from now on you do not need to download large files (tables) and search for your clients in the list of politically exposed persons: the user will always have access to the latest data, as information will be updated automatically and you will be able to configure notification of changes in the Register.

Data Ocean is the company that provides access to state registers and other structured data with direct access and automatic updates. This project is socially oriented: 2/3 of employees of Data Ocean are combatants and veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

PEP.ORG.UA is the public register of politically exposed persons, which is administered by the AntAC in the framework of fighting money laundering through financial institutions. It is used by financial institutions, notaries, legal and other companies in Ukraine and abroad to identify Ukrainian politicians among their clients. The Register is recommended for use for financial monitoring purposes by the National Bank of Ukraine and the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.

The Register PEP.ORG.UA is also one of the sources for journalistic investigations, necessary to determine the connection between individuals and their connections with legal entities. Extended dossiers of politicians contain a detailed description of personal information, with references to sources, documents and other evidence of information reliability.
