FOR MEDIA – Eliminate Prosecutor Dima Sus` Torture General of Ukraine

Tomorrow at 10.00 a.m. street action under the Torture General of Ukraine (Riznytska, 13).

Law enforcement body headed by Yuri Lutsenko has turned into the Torture General of Ukraine led by Dima Sus.

Anti-corruption activists, AutoMaidan and human rights activists demand from the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko to eliminate the “Kononenko – Hranovskyi” department of butchers established at the insistence of Bankova and supervised by Yuri Stolyarchuk, and require to put investigator Dima Sus, who kidnapped and tortured two employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), behind the bars.

   

Activists plan to demonstrate how butchers from the Prosecution and Security Service of Ukraine torture citizens who applied for the protection of their rights and search just punishment of offenders.

Co-workers of the “Kononenko – Hranovskyi” department under the direct supervision of Dmytro Sus torture citizens, are engaged in bribery and fabricate criminal proceedings against civil activists. The “Kononenko – Hranovskyi” department must be eliminated, and Dima Sus must be prosecuted for kidnapping and torture.

Press briefing of civil activists and MPs will be held during the action, including:

  • Vitaliy Shabunin (Anti-corruption Action Center),
  • Oleksiy Hrytsenko (AutoMaidan, Public Control Council under NABU),
  • Yaroslava Yurchyshyna (Transparency International Ukraine)

The action starts at 10:00 a.m. at Riznytska str., 13/15.

As it is known, on Friday, August 12 during the covert surveillance of the object under one of the criminal proceedings investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, room where the NABU employees were working was illegally entered by co-workers of the Prosecution General of Ukraine. Illegal operation was led by Dmytro Sus and «К» unit of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In the result, two NABU employees were kidnapped and illegally detained over 10 hours at the “Kononenko – Hranovskyi” department (Symona Petlyury str., 7/9); they were tortured with the aim to get necessary testimony.

The above described actions have all signs of crime under the Part 2 Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely power abuse by representative of the law enforcement body, and is punished by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with disqualification to hold certain positions or be engaged in certain activities for up to three years.
